Even tho it July '08 I'm new to blogging and new to this company's blog and procedure, so I feel I'm wasting a lot of time as I type and try to understand how it works and what it does. I don't even know the address yet so I tell my friends! I made my first post a few hours ago as a copy from a letter I emailed earlier this day to a pastor. Actually I posted some blogs on my web site a few months ago, but I've not gone back there.
I fear my main problem is how to maintain writing and not forget it's available. I haven't been writing in my journal much anyway this year, after about March it pretty much tapered off. I went back and found lots of emails; they act as a sort of journal sometimes. That way the event or person or idea is written about already and I don't have to rewrite it ust for the journal.
Anyway, we're in the USA on a mini-furlough based in Philly. In fact we're in a house less than a mile from either my home church or my grow-up churc and less than a half mile from where my Dad was born in Larchmont, PA! I've gone by some of my places on bike or car and pointed them out to the kids, but I don't think they were very impressed! It's amazinghow places invoke such memories to me and nothingto the kids. Histroy is hard to learn.
